Container deposit scheme infrastructure grants
The program provides funding for the purchase of infrastructure to assist with establishing CDS collection depots or collection points throughout the Northern Territory (NT).
Up to $30,000 is available to buy equipment or infrastructure. Higher levels of funding may be available where you can show exceptional benefits to the community.
A collection depot is a facility for handling regulated containers where 10 cents is paid for each container received.
You must request approval from the NT EPA to start a depot.

A collection point can be set up at a school, sporting club or another place where containers are collected to raise funds for the organisation. The containers are then taken to a depot. to collect the refund.
